I notice you’re from Denmark. I visited there years ago and I thought it was gorgeous!

In fact, of all of Scandinavia it was my favorite place!

I found that a lot of people here in the U.S. don’t  know much about their own

country, much less anyone else's. 

I post prayer updates about different countries. Part of the reason is to raise awareness

about what's going on in the rest of the world.

Recently I’ve started my own private initiative; if I notice someone on DA  is from

another country, if I've done their country I let them know. It’s my way of letting them

know that others are thinking about their home.

Pray for DenmarkDenmark  is a country in Northern Europe.
It is located southwest of Sweden, south of Norway, and north of Germany.
The country is made up of a large peninsula, Jutland, and over 400 smaller islands,
The largest islands are:
Zealand
Funen
Lolland
Falster
Bornholm
The country is important strategically because it controls the North and Baltic Seas.
Greenland and the Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic  are territories of Denmark.
Copenhagen is the capital.
The population is over 5 million.
FACTS
Denmark is the most southerly of the Nordic Scandinavian countries.
The famous author Hans Christian Anderson, (Author of the Little Mermaid) was from Denmark.
Denmark was the first country in Europe to introduce a welfare system in the 1930s – providing education, healthcare, unemployment benefits and pensions for everyone.
The popular construction toy LEGO, originated in Denmark.
